Coranet’s CEO has been active as a woman business owner since 2004, shortly after becoming CEO of Coranet® and obtaining our WBENC certification.  Highlights of Margaret’s and Coranet’s involvement include:

  • Serving on the prestigious WBENC Women's Enterprise Leadership Forum as a representative of WPEO (Women Presidents’ Educational Organization) NY 
  • Served on the WBENC certification review board for woman-owned businesses in New Jersey seeking to be certified by WBENC and more recently the New York Committee
  • Actively supporting and exhibiting at the WBENC annual conference, most recently as a Platinum sponsor
  • Providing time for other staff members to be active in WBENC New York’s certification review board

 

Margaret has been recognized by the business community for her achievements and leadership ability, for example:

  • In 2014, winning the Done Deals Champion award presented to the WBE that reports the most Done Deals with other certified WBEs and Done Deals with the WPEO New York and Washington DC Sponsors, as well as Done Deals New York State award (2008, 2010) and Done Deals New York City award (2007, 2010, 2012, 2014)
  • In 2012, winning the  WPEO Done Deals Leadership Award acknowledged for executing the largest volume of contracts in the Tri-State area
  • One of the finalists for SmartCEO's 2014 Small Business Awards in the Supplier Diversity category
  • One of New Jersey’s 2014 Top 50 Women in Business, according to NJBIZ Magazine
  • One of the Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs in New Jersey by the Leading Women Entrepreneur’s (LWE) initiative.
